Cllr Patricia Bradwell
Deputy Leader and Executive Councillor for Children’s Services & Lifelong Learning
Cllr Bradwell has overseen continued improvements in Children’s Services for Lincolnshire County Council over the last 7 years. She took over responsibility for the Children’s Services portfolio in April 2005. Her work with colleagues and staff has led to Lincolnshire being awarded an ‘excellent’ rating from Ofsted in their most recent inspection of Children’s Services, with many outstanding aspects.
Cllr Bradwell is Lincolnshire born and bred, from a farming background. She is married with two daughters and when she isn’t supporting all things for young people and their families in the county, she enjoys driving the fairways of her local golf club with her husband.
Having entered politics as a parish councillor, Cllr Bradwell eventually progressed to become a county councillor for Lincolnshire in 1997. Her reasons for entering politics have always been clear - to change things for the better, to make a positive contribution to peoples’ lives and to represent and support residents in her local community.
In today’s challenging political and financial climate, Cllr Bradwell is determined to continue her work in bringing further improvements to Children’s Services, for the benefit of children, young people and their families.
